Dear Parents/Carers,
IMPORTANT! Harlequin Theatre dance festival tickets go on sale on Friday 1st May
through The Harlequin Box Office. Tickets have sold out in the past so do not delay in
purchasing yours. We are the 5:00 pm (red group) performance on Tuesday 19th May.
Our Dance Festival trip is fast approaching. Here are the final arrangements and costume information
you will need to be aware of.
Costume information
The Year 3 and 4 costume for this dance has been provided for them and will be at school ready for them
on the day of the show.
Children will be wearing some stage make up. Please let us know in advance if your child is allergic to
any aspect of stage makeup.
Transport
We have booked Crawley Luxury Coaches to transport all of the dancers to the event. We will be leaving
school on Tuesday 19th May at 1:00pm after lunch. There will be a dress rehearsal in the afternoon
and the show will start at 5.00pm. Children need to be picked up at approximately 5:30pm, straight after
the show. There is a small charge of £14.50 per child to cover the cost of the coach, costume and
hair/makeup supplies . Please can you fill in the consent form below and either pay via Tucasi (It may
not show on tucasi until Friday 1st May) or send a cheque or cash in a named envelope marked “Dance
Festival” as soon as possible.
What to bring

A packed tea of suitable food (including some snacks and drinks) as the dancers will be at the
theatre for a considerable time.

Clothes to wear over their costume (girls only as they are wearing a leotard; boys will be fine to
travel just in their costume and a coat if needed)

Some activities to do whilst they are waiting (reading books, colouring materials, cards etc.).
Please do not bring electronic items, including mobile phones.

An item of warm clothing (a jumper) to wear over the costume backstage.

It would be useful if all items were in one bag and clearly named; children should not bring a
school bag to school on this day as they will have too much to carry and the dressing room is very
small
Yours sincerely,
Miss K Greenwood
