CV: Bonnita Gillard graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts at RMIT, majoring in Painting. In addition to a fine art, Bonnita is a curator and Jewellery designer. Her art work can be found in many private collections through out Australia and internationally from 1999. Bonnita paints from a place of deeper knowing and communications with source. It is here that viewers are drawn into her raw compositions, opulent colour palettes and organic shapes as she illustrates metamorphosing visions of past, present and future quests. It is the maturing of her clairvoyant vision that assists her constantly evolving process, as it continues to expand with each new series of work, and sometimes beyond her own awareness. She draws her inspirations from the animal and plant relatives, ancestral knowledge, metamorphosis, collective consciousness, astral realms, human behavior, shamanism, ancient history, music, plant medicine, metaphysics and the greater cosmology of this universe and beyond. It is within these themes which manifests imagery with the hypothesis forming between the artist and the viewer.
