Over 600 K-8 teachers participated in Level 1 workshops!
We are now ready to continue the journey!
Level 2 workshops will involve in-depth studies of the three mathematics programs as conducted by a
cadre of trained MPS teacher facilitators. Teachers attending the Level 2 will be able to:



Select and study two math programs, K-5 or 6-8.
Study a mathematical idea and examine how it is addressed in the various math programs.
Work in grade level groups to examine additional lessons within the programs.
Only schools that attended Level 1 workshops are allowed to send representatives to Level 2
workshops. Compensation for up to 5 teachers will be paid for by the MMP. The MMP appreciates
the support and commitment that has been demonstrated by schools around the district. Teacher’s
attendance and understanding of the selection process will continue to provide a smooth transition to a
new series.
Level Two Workshop Information
When: October 23, 24th*, November 1st, 2nd*, 13th*, 14th*
K5 – Gr.5 - Sessions: 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Gr. 6 – 8 - Sessions: 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Where: Marshall High School Complex,
4141 N. 64th Street
Room assignments will be forthcoming
Note: Dates with * indicate evenings with bilingual (Spanish) facilitators
for the K5-Gr.5 sessions.
