What to do when your GPST ST transition date is not early August
Through maternity and sick leave we are accumulating more GPSTs who are having
ST transition and ARCP panels out of sync with the July date.
Basic rules

Every GPST whether Full Time, LTFTT or Out Of Post must have a
minimum of one RCGP e-portfolio based summative assessment every six
completed months of Training

Every GPST whether Full Time, LTFTT or Out Of Post must have a
minimum of one ARCP panel every twelve completed months of
training.

OOP (Out Of Post) Educational Supervisor Reports and ARCP panel are
no longer required.

On return from leave the date of the next ARCP is dictated by the date of
their ST transition OR 12 completed months of Training from their last
ARCP - whichever is the sooner of the two

On return from leave the date of the next summative review is dictated
by the date of their next ARCP panel (Ed Sup Review at least 2 week
prior) OR 6 completed months of Training from their last Ed Sup
review - whichever is the sooner of the two

The date of their ARCP panel/ST transition date can be confirmed
by Grace Coggill at the Deanery

Setting the dates
1st Ed sup meeting on return from leave
1st date (End date of ESR review period) – top of the e-portfolio based ESR form in
the set up section = date of ST transition/ARCP or 6 completed months of training
from their last Ed Sup review period - whichever is the sooner.
2nd date – (Start of ESR review period) bottom left of the e-portfolio based ESR =
Day commencing after the last ESR
