Impact Factor Calculations
The 2012 impact factor of a journal would be calculated as follows:
A = the number of times, articles published in 2010 and 2011, were cited by indexed journals during 2012
B = the total number of "citable items" published by that journal in 2010 and 2011.
(Ref: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impact_factor)
2012 impact factor = A/B = 28/31 = 0.9032
Calculation of B:
Total number of articles published in 2010: 14
Total number of articles published in 2011: 17
B = the total number of citable items published by the Journal of Biochemical Technology in 2010 and
2011 = 31
