MODULE DATA SET
Module Title: Evangelism and Church Growth
Module Code: QF530
Module Summary:
The module will explore a variety of understandings of evangelism and church growth and
how those understandings relate to different styles and structures of church. It will seek
to look critically at the current understandings of evangelism and ask questions of
motivation, form and content of evangelistic mission and ministry.
It will look specifically at Parish Renewal (the growth of inherited forms of Church), the
Fresh Expressions movement, and the emerging church. Students will be asked to critically
asses each of these modes of evangelism and apply this knowledge to their local contexts.
