Body Biography
Objectives:
 Review significant events, choices, and changes involving your character
 Communicate to the class the full essence of your character by emphasizing the traits
that make her/him who she/he is
 Promote discussion of your character
 Present project to class
Requirements:
1. Design a physical representation of your character; focus on hair, eyes, build, clothing,
facial expression, etc.
2. Include visual symbols that signify your character, an aspect of his personality, a
theme, or his interests, conflicts and struggles (at least 3).
3. Write an original text that analyzes and/or reflects your understanding of the
character. This may be in the form of a poem, an essay, a story, a soliloquy, a letter,
etc.
4. Identify quotations from or about your character. Be sure to distinguish who the
speaker is (at least 3).
5. Emphasize character relationships by incorporating symbols that represent other
characters in the play and place the symbols strategically on the character (at least 3).
There should be a minimum of six symbols on your character, 3 to represent the character
and 3 to represent character relationships. Label each to make it clear what the symbols
represent.

Trace your character and begin creating your body biography

The goal is to complete the project at the end of the fourth day. You may need to complete
tasks out of class, such as the original text and/or symbols that can be attached to the
project.

Frankenstein, Elizabeth, The Monster, Jack Worthing, Cecily Cardew, Algernon Moncrieff,
