development of cosmetology curriculum. Emphasis is placed on teacher roles, teaching styles, teacher
challenges, aspects of curriculum development, and designing individual courses. Upon completion, the

Emphasis is placed on the use of lesson plans in various classroom and laboratory settings. Upon
completion, students will be able to teach a variety of cosmetology classes using various techniques.
This course serves as a suitable substitute for CIT 221. If used as a suitable substitute, this course
becomes a core course.
