Assistant Community Governance Course Leader Senior National Officer - SCP 35 – 38: Starting salary £30,178 pro rata Part time – 12 hours per week Home based Reports to: SLCC Academic Leader Position Concept: The Assistant Community Governance Course Leader supports the Academic Leader as required. The work focuses on supporting the Academic Leader’s role as Course Leader for the Community Governance programme. There is potential to take over as Academic Leader in due course with additional responsibilities for CiLCA, ILCA and CPD. The post holder is a member of the Conferences, Training and Education Team and has a seat on the Course Board of Studies and the Board of Examiners Job description General Support the Course Leader in undertaking most activities related to Community Governance Support the teaching team Help to market, manage and deliver the programme Teaching, Assessment and Student Support Take responsibility as module tutor and support tutor for several modules Monitor and contribute to the design and content of modules Monitor and contribute to the design of assignments Mark and moderate assignments and monitor standards Manage module websites using Moodle Support students and contribute to national schools, tutorials and webinars Take the initiative in developing digital and printed course materials Course management Liaise with the University of Gloucestershire and ensure that its requirements are met Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of the programme Contribute to effective and reliable record keeping Contribute to the training of tutors, mentors and other volunteer support Support the Course Administrator Professional development Engage in training or professional study as required Keep up-to-date with developments in course content and academic and educational trends Person Specification This table explains the characteristics sought in a candidate for Assistant Community Governance Course Leader.
