OCCUPATIONAL OR PHYSICAL THERAPIST-part-time (with potential to grow into full time if
desired) – My Heroes @ Chastain Horse Park
About Us
Founded in 2005, My Heroes is one of the national leaders in the field of hippotherapy and equine assisted
activities and therapies. With locations in Colorado and Georgia, we serve populations all over the board,
with a specific emphasis on neurodevelopmental patients in both the pediatric and adult populations. Our
mission is to improve the lives, bodies, and spirits of children and adults with disabilities through
hippotherapy and other equine assisted activities and therapies, and to be an inspiration and educational
resource both regionally and nationally. We have a wonderful staff of OTs, PTs and COTAs who have
several years of experience in the field and can help guide and mentor therapists new to the field or
properly orient more experienced hippotherapy therapists to our particular environment. In Atlanta we have
liaisons with all the top notch OT, PT and SLP programs including Mercer University, Georgia State
University and Emory, as well as the most highly regarded local healthcare systems including CHOA and
the Shepherd Center.
Our Facilities
Located at 4371 Powers Ferry Road, Atlanta, GA 30342, we are uniquely situated in the heart of Buckhead,
adjacent to the Chastain Amphitheater. With two covered arenas, one competition sized outdoor arena and
smaller practice arena, Chastain is able to provide a comprehensive riding experience for all ages and
abilities. A newly renovated sensory trail sponsored by Post Properties and a recently updated on-site clinic
are just a couple of the many features that make CHP a highly engaging and therapeutic environment.
