Mr. Bill Pimpao
Kadlec Medical Center
888 Swift Boulevard
Richland, WA 99352
Dear Mr. Pimpao:
I have enclosed information about a recently promulgated National Emission Standard for
Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) For Hospital Sterilizers Using Ethylene Oxide, which may
apply to your facility. I’ve sent this to you based on our database information; if you’re not the
right person please pass this on to the people at your facility who look after regulatory
compliance.
As the Benton Clean Air Agency does not have delegation for this regulation, nor enforcement
authority, this letter is simply to provide compliance information. It is also not an applicability
determination; our file information in many cases is quite a few years old.
I have enclosed:
 Brief Summary of the regulation developed by the EPA
 Summary brochure developed by the EPA
 An Initial Notification of Compliance to send to EPA, should this regulation apply to
your facility.
If applicable, the notification should be sent to:
Nancy Helm
EPA Region 10
1200 6th Ave.
Suite 900, AWT-107
Seattle, WA 98101
It would also be helpful if you would send us a copy for our records at the address above. If this
regulation is not applicable to your facility, please notify BCAA so our files can be current.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can provide further assistance.
Sincerely,
Robin Priddy, PE
