...Leading the way in OUTDOOR Education Field Studies
The GILBERT WHITE FIELD STUDIES CENTRE offers a wide range of
courses to students of all ages to develop cross-curricular themes of studies
from KS1 to KS4 and adults.
The great diversity of the area lends itself to the development of crosscurricular themes to include GEOGRAPHY, HISTORY, SCIENCE, & ART.
Our Field Studies Centre is located in the village of SELBORNE, Hampshire, the birthplace of
Gilbert White, one of the forefathers of ecology who lived here in the 18th century. It is situated
in our beautiful parkland in a unique and beautiful Tudor barn, dated around 1540s.
Our Educational Centre is part of the GILBERT WHITE’S HOUSE AND OATES MUSEUM which commemorates important individuals in the exploration of the natural world and there
are opportunities to study in the museum as well.
Programmes are designed for all ages and abilities, providing
