Study programme in languages (MB) 140 credits The aim of the study programme in business and economics is to provide students with a solid, general, basic academic foundation with an emphasis on specialisation in languages. The programme prepares students for further education at the higher education level, particularly in the field of social science and humanities and in programmes where good language skills are required. The average duration of study is eight semesters, and the study programme concludes with a matriculation examination. The student must choose at least three subjects as area of specialisation subjects, either in addition to the core subjects, or as new subjects. Total studies in an area of specialisation and programme core subject must amount to at least nine credit units. Students in the study programme in business and economics can also take up to 12 credits in the area of specialisation of other study programmes as part of their area of specialisation, although there must be at least nine credit units in a given subject. Electives Students select 12 credits from the study courses offered at the relevant school.
