Two types of V2O5 shapes (sphere shape and rod shape) at nano scale were synthesized using microemulsion techniques. For V2O5 with sphere shape the size obtained was 16- 70nm while V2O5 with rod shape the size of diameter obtained was 45130nm with length obtained was 120-500nm. The size for V2O5 bulk obtained was 200500nm and it consists of various shapes. The instruments used to characterize V2O5 prepared were XRD, XPS, TEM and VPSEM. XRD results showed that the V2O5 in orthorhombic lattice and difractogram of XRD showed the intensity of nano particle was lower than bulk one. XPS analysis of V2O5 shows that the oxidation number for vanadium and oxygen was +5 and -2 respectively. XPS spectrum showed blue shift of binding energy obtained for particle in nano particle. TEM and VPSEM result gave that V2O5 synthesized in nano scale and had regular shapes.
