Dear friends and colleagues,
On behalf of the Chinese Society of Osteoporosis,
Bone and Mineral Research and International Chinese
Hard Tissue Society, we are very honored to invite you to
the International Conference on Osteoporosis and Bone
Research to be held on May 23-27, 2003 in Beijing, China.
The scientific program will cover a wide array of topics
on osteoporosis, bone and mineral research, including the
latest advances in basic science, clinical prevention and
treatment of osteoporosis and bone-related diseases. The
conference will be an excellent opportunity for scientific
and cultural exchange.
Beijing is a highly civilized ancient city rich in
historical and cultural sites and relics, and natural scenery.
To facilitate the communication, the conference will provide
on-site language assistance including bilingual translation.
Special cultural tours will be arranged to help you to learn
more of Beijing and China.

Scientific Program
The scientific program consists of plenary sessions,
symposia, panel discussion, oral and poster presentations
in field of osteoporosis and bone mineral research.
Satellite symposium and workshops are welcome.

Call for Abstracts
Abstracts for presentation should be submitted before
December 1, 2002, Details of submission process will be
provided in the second announcement.
Social Program
A social program will include a reception in BICC, and
cultural performances such as operas, acrobatic shows.
Exhibition
An exhibition of medical instruments, and pharmaceutical
products and publications will be held during the scientific
sessions. Interested participating parties please contact the
Secretariat.
Hotel Accommodation
The Organizing Committee has block booked a number of
hotels with discounted room rates ranging from deluxe to
economy for the meeting participants.
Tours
Optional city tours will be arranged to offer participants
opportunities to learn the rich history and culture of Beijing.
Post meeting tours will cover Terra-Cotta-Warriors in Xi'an,
Kunming (Yunnan) etc.
