JUNIOR SHOOTING HOME 2015
Shooting Home is an annual photography mentorship programme, targeted at the most talented young
photographers in Singapore. With “shooting home” as a central theme, we encourage all the participants to
draw inspiration from their existing environment and ultimately contribute to ‘home’ and the local arts scene.
Into its fifth year, Junior Shooting Home is a programme for younger photographers, from 15 to 18 years old.
Ten students will be selected from schools around Singapore and entry is by portfolio submission and a
teacher’s nomination.
Participants will be mentored by professional photographers, offering them the opportunity to learn from
practising photographers, network and gain real-life experiences to guide them in photography, academic and
career choices.

(5) Critique and Sharing
Participants and faculty are expected to approach the workshop with an open mind, and the common objective
is for each to become better. The workshop atmosphere is geared towards one of healthy and open exchange.
(6) Copyright
All images shot during the workshop remain the property of the individual photographers. The organisers
request that photographers waive the rights to payment when they are used for related marketing purposes.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Participants are expected to have an understanding of the fundamentals of photography. The faculty will be
looking at the direction, strength and background of the photographer and portfolio as a whole rather than
judging the merits of each photo in the portfolio. Participants will also be selected based on their level of interest
in photography, be it as an academic or future career option.
The selection process is as follows:

 Applicants need to submit a portfolio of up to 20 images that best represent their work. Images can be
in the digital (minimum size 1024x768) or print (minimum size A5) format. Please do not send more
than 20 images as we will not review anything above that.
