ELIGIBILITY: Entries are open to youth 18 or under. Animals entered in the Market Meat Goat Show are not eligible to show in the Breeding Boer Goat Show. 2. This show is open to any breed or crossbred wether or doe. 3. Goats will be weighed by show officials on Friday January 23, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Goats will then be divided into weight classes as equal in number as possible. (Number of Classes may vary depending on the number of entries and the show officials’ discretion.) 4. All goats must be carrying all milk teeth at time of weigh-in. Goats showing either or both of the first pair of permanent incisors will not be eligible to show. 5. Bracing of the goats will not be permitted for this show. 6. Entry Fee: $10.00 per entry and $5.00 per pen, includes first bedding. SHOWMANSHIP Exhibitors from both the Market Meat Goat Show are eligible to participate in the Showmanship classes. Animals exhibited in showmanship must also be entered in either the Market Meat Goat weight classes or the Breeding Boer Goat classes and must be owned by the exhibitor. Classes will be set after all entrees are in. Number of classes may vary depending on the number of entries and the show officials’ discretion. Entries: There is no limit to the number of animals an exhibitor may enter in the Breeding Boer Goat Show. All entries must be postmarked by January 8, 2009, and the entry fee of $20.00 per goat must accompany the entry form. No straw, sand or other material will be allowed in the barn. LATE ENTRIES (after January 15) will be $25.00 per entry. 2. Registration: All goats six months or older must be registered with the United States Boer Goat Association, International Boer Goat Association, or American Boer Goat Association. Original registration papers must be shown to the superintendent at checkin. No copies will be accepted. Animals under six months of age must have a stamped duplicate or faxed duplicate application showing date received by the USBGA, International BGA, or ABGA offices. 3. Ownership: Proof of ownership shall be the name on the registration document. Persons showing animals whose registration certificates have signed transfer that have not been processed by the USBGA, International BGA, or ABGA offices must show these animals as agent for the owner on record. 4. Classes: Animals will be shown by the age according to the registration certificate. Management reserves the right to combine or split classes. 5. Grand Champions will be chosen from the first place animals in the preceding individual classes. Reserve Grand Champion will be selected from the remaining first place animals plus the second place winner from the individual class from which the Grand Champion was chosen. 6. Identification: All goats must have ID (ie: ear tag, tattoo), and this ID must match the registration papers of said goat at the time of check-in and ID must be included on the entry form.
