Program Director/Principal Investigator (Last, First, Middle):
RESOURCES
FACILITIES: Specify the facilities to be used for the conduct of the proposed research. Indicate the project/performance sites and describe
capacities, pertinent capabilities, relative proximity, and extent of availability to the project. If research involving Select Agent(s) will occur at any
performance site(s), the biocontainment resources available at each site should be described. Under “Other,” identify support services such as
machine shop, electronics shop, and specify the extent to which they will be available to the project. Use continuation pages if necessary.
Laboratory:
The Viral Vector Core occupies about 200 sq feet on the 5th floor of the Whitehead Building. It contains
molecular biology equipment and adequate space for the personnel involved in engineering lentiviruses. A
dedicated tissue culture facility is located in a prep room adjacent to the Viral Vector Core lab benches. Dr.
Ressler’s lab separately occupies ~750 sq feet within the Neuroscience building at Yerkes Research center
on the Emory campus.
Clinical:
Animal:
Computer:
The core leader has a computer in his office and the laboratory area has computers available for data
analysis and cataloging reagents.
Office:
The core leader has an office on the 5th floor of the Yerkes Research Center Neuroscience building on the
Emory Campus. There is also an office that the Core leader will share at the Viral Vector Core lab within the
Whitehead Building.
Other:
MAJOR EQUIPMENT: List the most important equipment items already available for this project, noting the location and pertinent capabilities of each.
The Viral Vector Core has a designated tissue culture room equipped with a biosafety cabinet and CO2
incubators. Two ultracentrifuges are located within the core laboratory.
