JUNIOR COUNSELOR JOB DESCRIPTION
Junior counselors must be high school graduates and 18 years of age or older. The salary is $400. Counselors will
complete responsibilities the Thursday evening of the week assigned by 7:00 PM. Reporting time for the opening Sunday
of camp is 2:00 PM. Daily uncommitted personal time will be scheduled for each junior counselor. Responsibilities will
include, but are not limited to:





Assisting the senior counselors with all cabin activities including overnight supervision
Sleeping in student cabins and assisting with camper anxieties and adjustments
Rehearsing and performing with at least one major camp ensemble
Assisting in leading sectional rehearsals and monitoring individual student practice
Moving and assembling equipment and supplies as requested. Planning rainy day and recreational
cabin activities
