Management of mass casualty:
 I had first hand experience in the management of mass casualities by being an active member
of the team who treated patients injured in a series of terrorist bomb blast in Assam, India in
April 2002.
 I was one of the team members involved in the Mass Casualty management team of the 28th
December 2003, bus accident at Pallikonda; Tamilnadu, India where some 36 seriously injured
patients was managed by EMD, CMCH.
Research Experience:
Conducted a double-blinded randomised clinical trial comparing the use of IV Frusemide & IV
Toresemide in the ED management of Acute Pulmonary Oedema. (Paper won The BEST YOUNG
INVESTIGATOR AWARD in EMCON 2004, Mumbai, India)
Conducted a double-blinded randomised clinical trial comparing the use of IV Aminophylline and
IV Magnesium sulphate in the ED management of Acute bronchial asthma. (Paper presented in
Emergency Medicine Conference 2004, Mumbai, India)
FUTURE PROFESSIONAL AIMS:
To involve in Emergency medicine deptt. build up, deptt. coordination, doctors
training, nursing training & to coordinate pre hospital care.
