Attire Ladies should wear a dress the same length or shorter than the gown and black shoes—we suggest flats, instead of heels. Girls do not need to attach the white collars to their cap and gown. No flip-flops! Gentlemen should wear white shirts and ties, dress pants (no blue jeans) and dress shoes (no tennis shoes or flip-flops). Cotton or cotton blends are good fabric choices because they will allow skin to breathe. (All Henry County dress code rules apply to graduation) 8. We encourage all who attend the graduation ceremony to remember this is an important day not only for you and your family, but for EVERY other senior and their family. Please encourage your family not to stand in front of other people to take pictures. Please keep cheering to a minimum so that every graduate’s name can be heard by their family. Graduation at Stockbridge Senior High School is a formal occasion; therefore, cow bells, whistles, clappers and other noise makers are not appropriate at this event. The goal of the SHS faculty and staff is to provide a formal graduation ceremony that each graduate and their family will be proud to remember.
