The Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER) organizes its 10th Annual International Conference on History: From Ancient to Modern, Monday 30 July 2012 and Tuesday 31 July 2012 at the Metropolitan Hotel of Athens (385 Syngrou Avenue). The Opening Speech and Welcome Remarks of the conference will be given on Monday 30 July 2012 at 9:00 a.m. by Dr. Gregory T. Papanikos, President of the Institute, by Dr. Nicholas Pappas, Professor of History, Sam Houston State University, USA and Vice-President of Academics, ATINER and by Dr. Timothy Howe, Associate Professor of History and Ancient Studies, Saint Olaf College, USA & Academic Member of the History Research Unit of ATINER. During the first two days of the conference over 40 papers will be presented by academics and researchers from 18 different countries (Australia, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Germany, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, South Africa, Turkey, UAE, UK and USA).
