METROPOLITAN NORTH 12&U REGIONAL TENNIS SELECTION TRIALS
The 2015 QSS 12 and under State Tennis Championships will be hosted by Peninsula Region at the
Cairns International Tennis Centre from Thursday 6 to Sunday 9 August 2015.
(To be eligible to participate in a 12&U State Championship in any of the registered sports, a student must be a minimum of 10 years of age and
not have attained the age of 13 years on the 31 December of the year of the competition.)
Metropolitan North will select one (1) Male Team of 4 players and one (1) Female Team of 4 players
to contest these Championships. Regional trials to finalise selection will be held at the Queensland
Tennis Centre, Tennyson on Tuesday 2 June 2015.
The 5 Districts within the Region are invited to hold trials to select squads (4 Boys and 4 Girls) to
attend the Regional trials.
Schools will be contacted directly by the relevant District Convenor in relation to District nominations
(players of good ability only).
The District Tennis Convenors will notify the nominees of dates, times, venue and cost of the District
trials.
Students selected to represent their district at the Regional trials will be asked to pay a Nomination
Fee of $32.00 per player to cover the cost of court hire, balls, trophies and the referee. District
secretaries will be invoiced for 4 players x $32.00 + GST.
