2015 12 YEARS TOUCH TRIALS
The 2015 Q.S.S. 12 Years and Under State Touch Championships will be hosted by Darling Downs Region
in Toowoomba from 13 – 16 August 2015.
(To be eligible to participate in a State Championship in any of the registered sports, a student must be a minimum of 10 years of age and not have
attained the age of 20 years on the 31 December of the year of the competition.)
Metropolitan North will select one (1) Boys team and one (1) Girls team to contest these Championships.
REGIONAL TRIAL FORMAT: District Team Competition
Trials to select these Regional teams will be held on Wednesday, 3 June 2015, commencing at 9.00 am
and finishing at 3.00 pm.
VENUE:
St Paul’s School, Bald Hills
All players and vehicles must enter the school grounds via
Attunga Street.
Schools should contact their District Touch Convenors for information regarding selection, venues and
dates. If your District cannot field a team please contact Mick McGrath.
Each District team MUST be accompanied by a Teacher.
Students should bring their own lunch and have adequate individual water containers.
A Nomination Fee of $240.00 per District Team covering Referees, Grounds and Sports Medicine and
medals. District Secretaries will be invoiced for the number of teams entered X $240.00.

CONDITIONS OF PLAY
The rules of Touch as set down by the A.T.A. will be followed unless stated otherwise below.
Squads are limited to a maximum of twelve (12) members with all twelve players participating
in any one (1) match.
Each team to be accompanied by a Coach.
All matches will be fifteen (15) minutes each way with no time off for injury.
Teams are to be dressed and ready to play at least ten (10) minutes before their match is due to
start. All players require an identification number on the back of the playing top. Same number
all day. No jewellery.
The “Tournament Committee” shall adjudicate on all matters of concern including protests. This
Committee shall comprise:

All protests shall be lodged with the Tournament Committee in writing within ten (10) minutes
of the termination of the game in question. This Committee will not accept protests regarding
refereeing decisions.
If a player is sent off permanently from a game for any misdemeanour, the Tournament
Committee will decide her/his penalty. There is no appeal over the decision of this Committee.
The format of play and carnival draw will be determined by the Convenor, once nominations
have been received.
