The Ken Bower Teacher Cadet Scholarship Sponsored by Ken Bower, associate professor in the Department of Elementary and Early Childhood Education at the College of Charleston, died in 2002. During his career, he was avidly committed to public school students and the adults who work with them. When the Teacher Cadet Program began in 1986, Dr. Bower was asked to develop the first full-scale curriculum. February 2014 The Ken Bower Teacher Cadet Scholarship INFORMATION Thanks to the success of the silent auctions held at annual professional development conferences, CERRA is pleased to offer SIX $500 SCHOLARSHIPS to help cover college expenses for the 2014-2015 school year. WHO CAN APPLY: High school seniors who participated in the Teacher Cadet Program and plan to attend a South Carolina college or university to become a teacher are welcome to apply. Teacher Cadet sites may send applications for all Teacher Cadets who wish to apply. HOW TO APPLY: Complete the enclosed application, make two (2) copies, and attach a sealed official high school transcript.
