Nominated by the Trop Rock Music Association for 4 Trop Rock Music Awards in 2012, including
Songwriter of the Year - Steve Tolliver, Song of the Year - Take Me Back To Havana by Steve Tolliver,
The Horizon Award - Trop Rock Junkies and Musician of the Year - Colin Ward, the band is making waves
in the music genre know as Trop Rock. The band is known by Trop Rock fans nationwide for their laid
back island sounds, high energy tropical themed rock and three part harmonies. Their performance at the
April 16, 2010 Jimmy Buffett concert in Tampa, Florida has raised their status among trop rock fans
everywhere. Lead singer Steve Tolliver received accolades from the Nashville based American Songwriter
Magazine for his song “Sand In Her Shoes”, and the CD “Songs in the Key of West” was ranked #19 in
Beachfront Radio’s Top 40 Albums of 2011. The Trop Rock Junkies were voted in the top 5 new artists of
2011 in that same poll.
The seven-piece band has focused on playing larger festivals and events, but also performs as a duo, trio and
4 or 5-piece band for smaller venues. Notable performances include The Englewood Music Festival in
Englewood, Florida; Phins Gumbo Festival, Jacksonville, FL; Music On The Bay, St. Petersburg, FL;
Geckofest in Gulfport, Florida; Jimmy Buffett Concert in Tampa, FL; Ribfest in St. Petersburg, FL; Jimmy
Buffett Tail Gate Party, Atlanta, GA and live on air interviews in Key West on KONK AM 1500 Radio and
the Island Time Radio Show on WBWC Cleveland, Ohio. They have played many trop rock venues like
The Nav-a-Gator, Lake Suzy, FL, The Yard (house concert) in Tampa, FL and are scheduled to play Fin
Fest in Columbia, SC.
Their CD’s have seen sales throughout the U.S., Canada and Australia. They receive extensive airplay on
Beachfront Radio, the Island Time Radio Show and other trop rock radio stations.
