It’s a Biography Project!
As part of our study of the American Revolution, you will be required to read
a biography of a key player in the Revolutionary War. The person you will be
studying is:

Find an appropriate book to read.
Due Date: MONDAY, JANUARY 10th
Create an outline of this person’s life.
Due Date: TUESDAY, JANUARY 18th
FINAL PROJECT DUE DATE: TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 1st
1. Create a “Character in a Can.” You will be responsible for dressing and
decorating a coffee can (or other bottle or jar) like your character.
The can must clearly indicate key information about the person. Your
character may hold props in order to this. (Ex: Ben Franklin wearing
spectacles and holding a suitcase since he often traveled as a
statesmen….) Pay careful attention to the way you dress your
character. You may include speech bubbles or backgrounds in order to
show distinct characteristics or accomplishments of your character.
Try your best to portray your character as a revolutionary hero! You
will present your can to our class and will need to explain who your
hero is and how you portrayed them.
2. Dress to Impress. You will dress as the character and through this
person’s voice you will tell the story of his/her life. Using your
outline, you will be responsible for creating a 5 paragraph essay from
your character’s point of view. Include all important information in
chronological order. Include historical facts as well as opinions and
feelings that your character would have felt during their life. Be
prepared to answer questions from the perspective of your character
