Spelling Menu
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights:
1.
Sort your words the same way we did in
class.
2. Choose an activity on the back of this sheet
to complete on lined paper, unless otherwise
specified. Return the activity to school
tomorrow in your green folder.
3. You may do an activity more than once, as
long as you do it with a different list of
words.
Thursday nights:
1.
Sort your words the same way we did in
class.
2. Ask an adult to give you a practice Spelling
and Word Wall Test. You do not need to turn in
the practice test.
Kite Write
Write each spelling word
in the shape of a kite,
so that it grows and
shrinks. Draw a kite
around each word.

Use the computer to find
an image or clipart of 10
of your words. Copy and
paste the picture into a
word processing document,
and type your word next to
each picture.

Sidewalk Words
Ask your parents for

driveway, on your
sidewalk, or in a SAFE
place on your street.
Ask your mom or dad to
write me a note to let
me know that you

Lower and Upper
Write each spelling word
two times – once with all
lower case letters and
once with all upper case
letters.
Word Search
Choose 10 words and
create a word puzzle

and bring it to school

No Consonants
Write each word, but
replace all of the
consonants with a line.
Then go back and see if
