Section 3 Prequalification Response Format H-2 HISTORIC ARCHITECTURAL SURVEYS AND MITIGATION Involves conducting historic architectural surveys including: background research, data collection, analysis, and report preparation to determine if significant, National Register listed or eligible properties will be affected by proposed Transportation projects. The Consultant will conduct mitigation work when directed and assist with the preparation of plans and specifications to address aesthetic requirements. All work will be in conformance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines. Staff experience should include developing historic contexts and using them appropriately in the context of compliance work. Firm: Staff Requirements Principal Investigator Architectural History 1) Any degree in architectural history, art history, historic preservation, or a closely related field w/ coursework in American architectural history; AND 2) 2 years full-time experience in research, writing, or teaching in American architectural history or restoration architecture w/ an academic institution, historical organization, agency, museum, or other professional institution OR substantial contribution through research and publication to the body of scholarly knowledge in the field of American architectural history; AND 3) 3 years experience conducting survey and other work in compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended.
