The After-School Program is made possible by funds from the School Board
and the Board of Supervisors along with support from the Department of Neighborhood and
Community Services, the Robinson PTSA, the FCPS After-School Program, Robinson teachers,
administrators, and various community partners.
Take these steps to take advantage of all that is offered for middle school students at Robinson Secondary School!

Complete and return the After School Activities Form mailed home in the summer packet.

Review the descriptive list of activities (above listing) offered to determine areas of interest within the FCPS After School
Program design: Academic Support and Enrichment, Fine and Performing Arts, Leadership, Social Skill, and Youth
Development, and Health and Fitness. Encourage your child to try something new! This document will indicate if an
activity specific registration form is required and if students must commit to a set number of meetings.

Review the quarter schedule which helps students plan their time after school. This is a one page document, which lists
activities by day and states meeting frequency – weekly, biweekly, or monthly. This schedule will change with each grading
period, but students find this useful when selecting activities based on their availability and personal responsibilities.

Read the middle school newsletter, The Ramblast, each week to help your child plan their activity time after school. The
Ramblast includes a confirmed listing of activities to be offered for the upcoming week and is the most accurate schedule
to follow. It lists the meeting location and whether there is a need for students to sign-up at lunch. This newsletter also
contains important dates, announcements, and advice from the school administration and is emailed to every family, via a
Keep In Touch (KIT) message, each Friday evening.

Detailed program information is posted on the After School Program 24-7 site, accessible by all students.

Students are responsible for selecting a daily activity or academic support with a teacher and reporting to the meeting
location by 2:20 for attendance. All students must be in a supervised activity when on the Robinson campus.

Students involved in fitness activities should plan to change into their PE uniform and have proper footwear to participate.
Thank you for your support and for encouraging your child to be actively involved in the Robinson community!
