To successfully complete level 3 and 4 of the World Languages the learner will
Core Standard 1: Communication: Write and speak a language other than English.
Learners engage in written and spoken conversations on a variety of topics.

Learning Targets/Outcomes
Participate in discussions of common topics such as free time activities, environment, music, work, sports and health.
Write regularly about common topics and self in a “journal” or “E-Mail / Letter” style.
Make requests in natural situations such as through staged scenes (skits), “E-Mail / letters,” and when possible with native speakers
(i.e., with exchange students).
Use known Vocabulary and body language to express unknown concepts.

history of the destination, etc.
Apply skills from other disciplines in the target language such as creating a newspaper including articles about historical events or
creating a multimedia presentation in the language (i.e. showing works of art from an era or location where the language is spoken.)

in the target country explaining why one mode of transportation would be more desirable than another.
