First game of the season and a perfect start with a convincing away win. 10 Mins into
the first half saw the opening goal from SALTON from 8 yards into the top left corner. 5
minutes later saw MINTO bag his first, of hopefully many this season. Redpath were
then caught out with a quick reply with a long ball from the Calvary keeper which beat
the defence with a low shot from their centre forward which A. ROBBINS almost saved.
HOGG then scored a nice individual goal beating 2 defenders then slotting past the
keeper. McKAY then rounded off a commanding first half performance from the team
with a goal which came from pure determination of not giving up and netted in the top
corner.

The domination in the first half by Redpath was continued in the second with the pick
of the bunch coming from SALTON, netting his second and Redpaths' fifth with a run
from the half-way line and an unstoppable shot from 18 yards almost bursting the net.
Master HOGG then got his second of the match with another skillful run and a low shot
past the keeper. COLLINS and HOWELL, replacing McKAY and MINTO made it seven
and eight giving the team the buzz back which has been missing the last couple of
games. Calvary got a couple of consolation goals in the last 10 minutes, 1 from a
penalty which saw McKENZIE harshly yellow carded after a good performance at leftback. A brilliant display from the whole team and a great start to the season with four
players making their debut, MAVER, SUTHERLAND, F BROWN and COLLINS all having
a solid game.
