Mentioned in her husband’s will as “my trusty & well beloved wife” under which she was appointed sole executrix, 24 Jan. 1726/7. Recorded as “Anne King Relicta” she was granted probate of her husband’s estate, 12 Oct. 1727. Will dated 4 April 1730 – in which she was described as “Ann Kings [sic] of Great Tew in the County of Oxon Widow” & made a bequest of £5 to “my daughter Ann Salmon [sic]” & appointed “my son-in-law Richard Salmon [sic] of Wigginton in the County of Oxon Yeoman” sole executor. Died 17 April 1730 – as recorded on her gravestone. M.I. (chest tomb) – “Anne wife of Robert King died April 17th 1730 aged 80”. Will Proved at the Consistory Court of Oxford, 17 April 1730). It was recorded in the will of his grandson Richard Sammon, that on 10 April 1714, described as “Robert King of Great Tew in the County of Oxford, Maltster”, he, together with “Christopher Fowler of Great Tew, Mercer”, entered into a Deed of Indenture with his daughter Anne & son-in-law, described as “Richard Samman [sic] of Wigginton in the County of Oxford, Yeoman & Anne his then wife”, concerning certain lands at Wigginton to be held in trust to raise £150 to be paid to his daughter’s children equally or to such of them as his daughter & son-in-law were to nominate, but that they “departed this life without making any nomination, direction or appointment” & that “whereas the said Richard Samman [sic] & Anne his wife both deceased had seven children namely me the said Richard Samman [sic] & also Robert, John & Solomon, Joyce, Anne & Eleanor”, 11 Dec. 1776. Will dated 24 Jan. 1726/7 – in which he was described as “Robert Kings [sic] of Great Tew, in the county of Oxon, Yeoman” & referred to “my son Richard Samons [sic] of Wigington [sic]” & to “my daughter Ann Samons” & mentioned “all my houses lands barns stables close orchard garden barkside thereto belonging”. He was recorded as “my son Richard Samons [sic] of Wigington [sic]” in his father-in-law’s will under which he received a bequest of 20/-, 24 Jan. 1726/7. He was mentioned in the will of his mother-in-law as “my son in law Richard Salmon [sic] of Wigginton in the County of Oxon Yeoman” under which he was appointed sole executor, 4 April 1730. Bur. 22 April 1766 at Wigginton – recorded in the burial register as “Richard Salmon [sic], Senior, brought from Hook Norton”). At their marriage she & her husband were recorded in the Broughton marriage register as “Richard Salmon [sic] of Wigginton & Anne King of Great Tew”.
