This amazing musical, that is recon will become the event of the next theatrical season, will open in
Milan on 14 December 2011 in the Ciak Theatre, which has been turned into the totally new
“Priscilla Palace”, thanks to a restyling both of the inside and of the facade in a full “Priscilla style”.
THE MUSICAL
"Priscilla Queen of the Desert ", undoubtedly an incredible glittering and sparkling musical, is one of the most entertaining show you will ever see, a true remedy against the monotony and dullness of the city!
The show had its world Premier in Sydney in October 2006 and become the most successful
Australian musical of all time, with over a million viewers. Two years later, Priscilla opens at the prestigious Palace Theatre in London; in February 2011 in Toronto; and finally, in March 2011, the pink bus arrives in Times Square-Broadway becoming a Must See for all, and one of the most successful musicals currently on stage in New York.
Since its Premier, Priscilla has received several International Awards, including an Olivier Award; a
Best Musical of the Year at SOBOM (Society Of Box Office Managers) Awards; a What's on Stage
Award for Best New Musical; and a Tony Award for Best Costumes.
“Priscilla Queen Of The Desert The Musical” adapted from the Oscar ®-winning film The
Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert starring Terence Stamp, Guy Pearce and Hugo
Weaving - written by Stephan Elliott and Allan Scott – tells the story of Tick, Bernadette and
Adam, a glamorous Sydney-based performing trio who agree to take their Drag show to the middle of Australia outback.
Priscilla is a heart-warming, uplifting, overwhelming adventure of three friends who hop aboard a battered old bus (nicknamed Priscilla) searching for love and friendship and end up finding more than they could ever have dreamed.
The ingenious script astonishes the audience with a message of tollerance, acceptance and a new concept of family and manages to alternate moments of pure fun to more touching moments, always maintaining an original, vibrant and definitely unconventional style.
Spectacular and with no equals Priscilla got it all:
An incredible talented cast; over 500 amazing costumes that make every scene looking like a great finale; a hilarious sequence of lines; a sensational song list featuring many classic disco hits
including: I Will Survive”, “What’s love got to do with it”; “Hot Stuff” and “Go West”…. Priscilla is a journey to the heart of fabulous
