This competition will happen simultaneously with the Western Canadian Judging Competition. NYC, All Breeds Western Canadian Team Judging Show Ring Preliminaries Each team qualifying for the Western Canadian Team Judging Competition will compete by judging one class of animals. This competition will also judge the individuals showing for showmanship. Team Judging Teams Clipping Animal can be washed but must not be recently clipped prior to competition. Participant must provide animal for competition NYC, All Breeds Grooming The grooming competition will be twenty minutes in length. Animals are to be washed and clipped prior to the competition but dressing prior to commencement will result in disqualification. Judges will evaluate on the use of equipment, knowledge, skill, involvement, final appearance and presentation of the heifer. NYC, All Breeds Western Canadian Team Judging Show Ring Finals The top five teams, both Junior and Senior, compete to become the 2012 Western Canadian Show Team Judging Champions. NYC, All Breeds Herd Builder Building your herd involves buying and selling stock in order to make your business successful. Establishing a value for your seed stock is an important factor. This competition will give you an opportunity to build your own herd, make marketing and sales choices and ultimately discover whether you have generated the most revenue. No preparation necessary. NYC, All Breeds Herdsman Award Displays are judged on things such as the neatness of the exhibit and immediate area, appearance of the animals, attractiveness of signs and the display area and the initiative and courtesy displayed by the contestant with dealing with the public and fellow exhibitors All Participants National Young Cattleman Competitors ONLY! *** $500 cash award added this year to National Young Cattleman’s Prizes Juniors : It’s All Social To Me! (prepared competition) Junior National Young Cattleman participants will prepare an infographic that could be distributed on social media to inform the public about the chosen topic. Often your marketing tools require skills you do not have. Choosing the right person or business for your team is critical to your success. Communicating your vision completes the process. This competition requires you to find the right source and/or resource that you will need for creating a promotional product. You may create any product that can be shared on social media (video, infographic, postcard, etc.) to promote one of the following: 1. Your farm or business 2. Canadian All Breeds Heifer Show 3. UFA You must source your product and communicate your vision. Marks will be awarded for the interaction you have with the outsourcing resource. You may use the following site: http://www.fiverr.com/ (everything for $5) or someone of your own choosing. Tips For Outsourcing Online 1. Once you have your idea, go to Fiverr and search for the type of media you desire. Make sure you look for people who have the style or design you would like as an outcome with the project. 2.
