Patrick Judd Senior Associate at Conservation Design Forum Greater Detroit Area Architecture & Planning Previous Education Pollack Design Associates University of Michigan As a Senior Associate and Ann Arbor's Studio Manager at Conservation Design Forum, work experience includes site master-planning, design and construction administration of corporate and commercial sites, public recreation land design and non-motorized trail planning and development, and whole farm planning, including stream and wetland restoration. Patrick is well versed with Midwest native plant communities, rainwater management, and land sculpting, which allows ecosystem services integration for projects. His diverse site master-planning project experience is comprised of natural areas, corporate campuses, Native American lands, large-scale regional parks, residential/commercial districts, farmland and streetscapes. Because he has participated in numerous grant applications funded by state and federal programs, he is familiar with all standard grant requirements. Patrick brings a pragmatic eye to the design and planning process. His combination of knowledge about native plants habitats, site programming and social interfaces leads to an ability to translate that knowledge into design criteria for the preparation of site master plans and construction documents -- critical for a project that must respond to the needs of both the environment and people. Patrick was Project Development Co-chair for the Southeast Michigan Sustainable Business Forum from 2007 to 2011. He was an advisor to the Lansing Community College Landscape Architectural Program, Board Member Emeritus of the Wildflower Association of Michigan and a guest lecturer on a range of topics including: sustainable site and landscape design, natural systems restoration and management, and rainwater management designs. Patrick was a guest speaker on wetland conservation at the International Wetland Conference at Tainan University, Taiwan, and for Taipei, Taiwan, city planning officials.
