SPARKS NI Annual Golf Spectacular Clandeboye Golf Club Friday 20 September 2013 The Sparks NI Committee would like to invite you to enter a team for our annual Golf Day in aid of Action Medical Research. Each team costs £360 and you will be treated to bacon butties with tea and coffee on arrival, a round of golf on a fantastic course, a three course meal and some wonderful entertainment in the evening. The emphasis is on relaxation and fun with just a hint of competitiveness! The substantial prizes are donated and this contributes greatly to the success of the day. This event provides an excellent opportunity for corporate entertaining or just a good day out with friends and we invite ladies and gentlemen to participate. The tee off time is 1pm. Bacon butties, tea and coffee will be served in the Clubhouse from 11am and dinner will be served at 6.30pm. The prize giving and entertainment will follow. If you wish non playing guests to join you for dinner please let me know as soon as possible, there will be an additional cost for their meals of £20 per person. Despite enormous progress in medicine, all around the UK today there are hundreds of thousands of sick and disabled children who need your help. For over 60 years we’ve been saving and changing lives through medical research and have spent over £100m, funding some amazing breakthroughs: Introducing the first polio vaccines in the UK. Discovering the importance of taking folic acid before and during pregnancy to prevent spina bifida. Developing the use of ultrasound technology in pregnancy. Creating the Matrix Seating System to help support physically disabled children as they grow. Our most recent project we are funding here in Belfast is on neonatal care – a new way to monitor drug levels that could spare babies from painful blood tests. This is a phenomenal project and the leader Dr Ryan Donnelly won the Glaxosmithkline emerging scientist of the year. I have attached a reply form; if you are interested in securing a place, please fill out the form and post it or email it back to me. We look forward to seeing you on the day! Best wishes, Jenny Jenny Scullion Community Fundraising Manager Action Medical Research NI
