John Cabot- Italian explorer who became so famous for his exploration of what he thought was China that the English changed his name. Balboa- Spanish explorer who was the first to see the Pacific Ocean. Amerigo Vespucci- Italian who explorer came to the conclusion that Columbus and Cabot had not reached Asia, but had actually found a new continent.
