(the "Products") will be free from hardware or software related defects in design,
materials and workmanship affecting the normal operation of the Products,
The standard warranty period is 12 months, unless otherwise stated, (“Warranty Period”)
from invoice date for all parts not considered as consumables.
Ion Science Ltd offers an extended warranty with details below ("Extended Warranty
Period").
If Ion Science Ltd receives notice of any such defects during the Warranty Period or
Extended Warranty Period and the Product is shipped freight prepaid to Ion Science Ltd
or an Authorised service centre, Ion Science Ltd will at its sole discretion either repair or
replace the Product if it is found to be faulty and generally not in breach of any other
condition in this document. Any such replacement for the Product may be either new or
equivalent in performance to new. Replacement or repaired parts will be warranted for
only the unexpired portion of the original warranty or an additional 90 days (whichever is
greater).
Ion Science Ltd instrumentation is generally designed for a long life 5-10 years use, and with
regular service and care they will provide reliable measurements for many years. This is
reflected in the Extended Warranty Periods cited below.
Extended Warranty Periods are offered in excess of the General Warranty Period and are
conditional upon the instrumentation being regularly maintained (i.e. regular filter changed
etc..) used in normal operation and additionally to have an annual service/calibration at Ion
Science Ltd or an Authorised service centre or to be under an Ion Science service contract.
Warranty is limited to premature failures due to fundamental design or poor build quality, not
to failures resulting from application issues, such as use in high background corrosive gases
or general misuse or neglect of the product.
Ion Science Ltd warrants the Product only if it has been sold by an authorised Ion Science Ltd
employee, sales representative or dealer.
In circumstances where the instrument needs non-warranty service before warranty repair
can take place, a charge may be requested to cover the non-warranty costs.
The Product may contain re-manufactured parts equivalent to new in performance or may
have been subject to incidental use.
The Warranty or Extended Warranty Period begins on the date of invoice unless
otherwise agreed in writing with Ion Science Limited.
This warranty does not apply to defects in the Product resulting from improper or
inadequate maintenance, repair or calibration, instrument misuse, i.e. not used in
accordance with the instruction manual, or outside its designed scope of use and which may
not be covered in the manual, fuses, software and non-rechargeable batteries,
software, interfacing, parts or other supplies not furnished by Ion Science Ltd,
unauthorized modification or misuse, operation outside of the published
specifications, annual calibration, service or re-certifying, any loss of parts, abuse
or accidental damage, ingress of substances into the electronics or sample lines
excessive wear and tear on mechanical parts such as access screws, key pads or battery
covers. This warranty does not apply to: Customer replaceable parts such as filters, probes,
and pump diaphragms, collector plates etc..
Any accessory or spare part clearly identifiable as of original manufacture by a company other
than Ion Science, the original manufacturer's warranty, if any, will apply.
Payment of any sort by Ion Science Ltd other than the repair or replacement itself is not
considered part of this policy
Ion Science does not accept liability outside this warranty statement for repairs carried out
under this warranty statement.
To the extent allowed by applicable law, the above warranties are Exclusive and no other warranty or
condition, whether written or oral, is expressed or implied. Ion science Ltd specifically disclaims any
implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, satisfactory quality and/or fitness for a particular
purpose with respect to the product. Some countries, states or provinces do not allow

limitations on an implied warranty, so the above limitation or exclusion might
not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you might
also have other rights that vary from country to country, state to state or
province to province.
17. To the extent allowed by applicable law, the remedies in this warranty statement are your sole and
exclusive remedies.
18. Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, in no event will Ion Science Ltd or any of its
subsidiaries, affiliates or suppliers be liable for direct, special, incidental, consequential or other
damages (including lost profit, lost data or downtime costs) arising out of the use, inability to use or
result of use of the product, whether based in warranty, contract, tort or other legal theory, and whether
or not Ion Science Ltd has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Your use of the Product
is entirely at your own risk. Some countries, states and provinces do not allow the
exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation
may not apply to you.
19. Except to the extent allowed by applicable law, the terms of this limited warranty statement does not
exclude, restrict or modify, and are in addition to, the mandatory statutory rights applicable to the sale
of the product to you.

Note A:- Lamp warranty is defined in respect to the ability of the lamp to strike in
the unit and give a reasonable output when calibrated.
Note B:- TVOC lamp warranty is dependant on Ion Science Ltd approving the
application set up, should this not be approved by Ion Science Ltd or its authorised
distributor then warranty on lamps will be limited to 6 months.
Note C:- NIC sensors returned within warranty, but with reasonable use will be
refurbished, but the unused portion will be discounted off the refurbish price.
Note D:- Hydrosteel 7000 warranty requires formal approval during commissioning
