Miss Michelle’s Classes- Last week we had fun learning about the desert sky, especially the stars and constellations. We
had fun making up our own constellations. We also finished up learning about the desert with all the small animals that are
found there. This week we're going to talk about going down the river, learning about alligators and beavers. We'll have
fun pretending to float down the river observing all that we see.
Miss Wanda’s Classes- This week we finish the alphabet with the letter "Z". We will be learning about the number zero and
hearing zoo animal stories. Of course, we will learn about Zacchaeus and sing the song about this "wee, little man". We have
been working hard on our songs for the luncheons and will be practicing with Miss Peggy. If the weather cooperates it would
be nice to pay a visit to the nature trail. We have been waiting to have a fallen tree removed from the pathway.
Miss Jan’s Class – The children had fun with the story The Three Little Pigs and the story told from the wolf’s point of
view. It was nice to get outside and play without jackets. This week we will read nursery rhymes. Our letter for the week is
Q. The children are working hard to remember all the songs we have learned through the year. They are excited to sing
them at the luncheon on Thursday the 16th.
Scholastic Book Orders-Please have all orders turned in by Wednesday, May 8.Thanks for supporting our library when you
make purchases.
Tuition- As the school year winds down, please get your last payment of tuition as soon as possible. This will make
bookkeeping for Miss Teresa so much easier. Tuition is due by the 7th of every month, but the earlier the better for the end
of the year! Thank you in advance for being prompt.
Teacher Appreciation Week- Thanks to all of the parents who volunteered to bring in a treat or donate money towards
the luncheon. The luncheon will be on Thursday, May 9th. Please let Miss Teresa or Kristen Poast if you would like to
volunteer a goody or your time!
Parent/Grandparent/Caregiver Appreciation Luncheon- Little Bud is hosting a luncheon for you! Please join us on
May 15th / 16th to celebrate this school year and your support of Little Bud. Please plan on coming hungry. We will serve a
taco salad lunch at 11:30am with entertainment by your Little Bud following the lunch. Please sign up in your child’s
classroom so that we provide enough food! If you have any other questions, please see Miss Teresa.
Last Day for Students- We will celebrate in chapel the last day of school. Please join us at 10:50am to wish all of our
Little Buds well as they approach Kindergarten. The last days for students are Wednesday, May 22/ Thursday, May 23.

Vacation Bible School- Don’t forget to register for VBS. You won’t want to miss out on the fun the week of July 15th.
Please invite your friends and family ages preschool to 6th grade. You can find the registration form on the preschool table
and drop it off in the box! Please see Miss Teresa if you have any questions. She can hopefully guide you in the right
direction.
Christ Lutheran Church Picnic- Mark your calendar for Sunday, June 2nd at noon. Christ Lutheran is hosting it’s church
picnic and you won’t want to miss the fun. The meat will be provided but sides and desserts will be potluck. There will be
lots of fun activities for the children to enjoy. The festivities will be held outside in the back of church, weather permitting.
