Morey’s Piers Associate In-Service Policy The Associate In-Service Program has been developed as a way to give our Ride Operations Associates continued training, thereby ensuring that they perform their job duties as safely and efficiently as possible during their entire term of employment. The following guidelines detail the administration of this program: 1. The program will begin on, or about the first week of April. 2. Sixteen (16) In-Service classes will be conducted during the 2013 Season. 3. All Ride Operations Associates must attend one session per week. Non- attendance will affect their bonus potentials, ride privileges, and could be cause for termination of employment. Non-attendance of scheduled in-service classes will have the following consequences applied; 1st offense: revocation of ride/waterpark passes for two weeks. 2nd offense: reassignment, suspension, or termination. 4. Associates are scheduled for in-service by their scheduling manager. 5. The entire season’s in-service schedule will be posted, prior to the first week of classes, in the Schedule folder found in the 2013 Operations folder. An e-mail notification of the season’s schedule will be sent, prior to the first week of classes, to all 01’s, 02’s, and 122. Changes to the existing schedule must be accompanied by email notification to the parties listed above. All scheduling changes must be reflected in the Moreyentation and UROC schedule as well as the ML Training Room Outlook Calendar. 6. Pier management should schedule their associates, including their full name and facility location, prior to the class that the associate will attend. This is to be accomplished by updating the on-line schedule referenced above and saving. 7. All attending Associates should punch in, and will be paid for their time if they attend the entire session. 8. All attending Associates must present their Morey’s ID card at their arrival to the training room. 9. Attending Associates, who are scheduled to work on the day of the in-service class they are attending, must come to the class in uniform. Associates who attend inservice on their “day off” may elect to not where their uniform to the in-service class, but must still meet standards associated with proper classroom attire. 1 Associate In-Service Program Guidelines, revised 4.19.12 10. Each attending Associate will sign his or her name in the attendance log provided by the training department. The Facilitator is responsible for ensuring that attendance is logged appropriately. 11. Following the conclusion of each in-service class, attendance log data will be updated in the on-line schedule referenced above. Associates who were scheduled for a class, but who did not attend, will be highlighted in yellow on the schedule following the same procedure for Moreyentation and UROC. 12. In-service training classes will be conducted by members of the Training Department. Facilitators must be experienced in the content of each session and be able to perform in an organized, professional manner at all times. 13. All In-service classes will initiate in the Mariner’s Landing training room. Multiple sessions with varying start times will be scheduled each week. These days/times should remain consistent from week to week, and include at least two morning, and two late afternoon sessions 14. Sessions should be limited to 50 attendees. 15. Facilitators are required to have the Trainees participate in at least one interactive activity per session. 16. Each session will include a review of current amusement industry news, and operational topics specific to Morey’s Piers. These topics will be solicited from pier management prior to the start of each in-service week. 17. Sessions should be approximately 45 minutes, to a maximum of one hour in length. 18. Check that equipment and the location intended for use are available one week in advance. 19. All information and materials should also be prepared no less than one week in advance. 20.
