Early Releases: Girls Basketball Teams at 2:15 pm
Auditions for Choir Fundraiser and Cabaret: Choir Department is looking for Karaoke style
soloists to perform at these events. Auditions are this week with Mr. Renner in Room C103.
Auditions for Madrigals and Women’s Choir: Auditions are open to all students during any
period. Sign ups for Concert Choir is open to anyone. If you have any further questions see
Mr. Renner in Room C103.
Football meeting Tuesday February 8th @ 7:45 am in the boys sub gym. Everyone planning to
play football next year must attend. Any questions see Coach Shrout in the PE office.

AP exam registration is available for THS students until February 17. Each exam is $91.

Give Every Child a Chance of Tracy is a tutoring/ mentoring program that helps children
that are at risk of academic failure here in Tracy. We need High school student’s help!
We have 3 sites that are in need of Tutors. The program places a student that is struggling
with a tutor for 2 hours a week. Mon/Wed and Tues/Thurs hours are 3:15 to 4:15 or 4:30 to
5:30. This is a great and fun way to earn those community service hours. If you are
interested in becoming a tutor, please visit www.gecactracy.org and apply. Applications

Modesto Junior College cordially invites students to attend their 28th Annual Hispanic
Education Conference on Saturday, March 17, 2012 from 8:00am – 2:00pm. The conference
goals are to encourage our local Latino high school and college youth to choose a career path,
focus on a goal and enlighten students about the multitude of choices available to them upon
completion of high school. We are also offering the participants an opportunity to see various
role models from diverse occupational areas. We hope students leave the conference feeling
inspired and motivated to pursue their educational or career goals. For more information visit

CAL GRANT GPA Verification Forms
Paper copies available in the Counseling Office. Your Cal Grant GPA will be calculated on a
4.00 scale (to two decimal places) and extra weight will not be added for honors, Advanced
Placement or International Baccalaureate classes. Your GPA must include all grades from your
sophomore year, the summer following your sophomore year, your junior year and the summer
following your junior year, except those for physical education, Reserve Officers Training
Corps and remedial courses. (Remedial courses are those that aren’t counted toward high
school graduation).
Wondering how you’re going to pay for college? Join us at Stanislaus State University on
Thursday, February 2, 2012, 6:00pm in Room MSR 130. Attend and receive help filling out the
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Incoming 2012-2013 College Freshmen
who participate will be entered in a drawing for $1,000 scholarship. Financial Aid Advisors
