File plot.monitor is an example of such a monitor file. 4.1 - File plot.monitor: Description: Monitor file for the visualisation of a generalised theme of the Soil Geographical Database of Eurasia at scale 1:1,000,000. A monitor file can be used from a text editor, selecting parts of it that need to be executed, and copying them to a window where execution takes place. It is similar to a macro except that control over the command flux execution is done by the user (by means of selection) instead of being done by the macro itself (by means of specific command flux control instructions such as "IF ... THEN ... ELSE" or "DO ... WHILE ..."). Monitor files are easy to build and to re-run, and can constitute a detailed history of tasks achieved.
