The Government of Sierra Leone has received a loan and a grant from the African Development
Bank and a grant from the International Development Association of the World Bank toward the cost of
the Rehabilitation of Basic and Non-Formal Educational and Vocational Skills Training Project. It is
intended that part of the proceeds of these grants and the loan will be applied to eligible payments under
the contract for the supply of Primary and Junior Secondary Core Textbooks.
2.
The Project Coordination Unit on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports now
invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of the under mentioned:

A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to
the above and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of USD100.00 per lot (or its equivalent in any freely convertible
currency)
5.
The provision in the instruction to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contracts are the provisions of the African
Development Bank Standard Bidding Documents: Procurement of Goods July 2000.
6.
Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 10.00 GMT on Monday, January 5, 2009 and must be
accompanied by a bid security of an amount indicated in the above table.
7.
Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 10.00 GMT on Monday, January
5, 2009 at the Conference Room, Planning Directorate Building, Ministry of Education Youth and Sports, New
England, Freetown Sierra Leone
8.
Qualified domestic or regional bidders shall not be eligible to receive a margin of preference. .
