PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE ENI Petroleum - Houston, Texas (2011-Present) SENIOR ADVISOR: New Ventures Team Advisor- Provided guidance, instruction, direction and leadership to the new ventures team. Worked closely with upper management on prospect evaluation including risk assessment. Accomplishments Senior advisor for fifteen experienced offshore GOM staff members. Analyzed and Recommended acquisition and divestiture opportunities and created a portfolio of prospects that added 138 BBOE risked reserves. Managed the Lease sale exploration team and reviewed and evaluated prospects for Lease Sale 235. Advised upper management on play concepts and led the exploration team to explore in areas of high potential for drilling success. Evaluated the exploration portfolio that included Wilcox and Miocene prospects to determine the structure, volume, and risk reserves for each prospect. The Lease Sale portfolio exceeded 500 BBOE of oil in place reserves. Published articles in Schlumberger’s Oilfield Review . ROBERT C. BARTMAN Continued Petrobras America, Inc. - Houston, Texas (2008-2011) SENIOR GEOPHYSICAL ADVISOR: New Ventures Group - Regional mapping and prospect development in the Miocene for Green Canyon, Mississippi Canyon, plus subsalt Lower Tertiary Wilcox in the Perdido fold belt and Walker Ridge. Accomplishments Reviewed and evaluated the current prospect inventory in Walker Ridge and Atwater Valley and developed the exploration plan for Green Canyon including the seismic recommendation and areas to explore. Analyzed and recommended farm-in prospects and packaged the lease interest holdings to farm out. Recommended the exploration areas for the lease sale group and critiqued prospects generated by the exploration group. Osprey Petroleum, Inc. - Houston, Texas (2006-2008) EXPLORATION MANAGER: Managed the exploration team for Osprey Petroleum company startup. Generated the exploration plan for Offshore and Onshore exploration strategies and presented it to the new President of Osprey Petroleum. Hired the G&G staff plus signed contracts with IHS Energy and SMT Kingdom. Recommended onshore prospects for farm-in potential and participated in state and federal waters lease sales. Accomplishments Initiated Osprey Petroleum first offshore exploration effort by creating the prospect portfolio for state and federal waters plus evaluating regional trends. In six months after startup, the exploration portfolio had over 120 BCFG of prospects. The company was awarded all offshore tracks for bids submitted. Drilled a successful onshore Wilcox well with an operating partner. The Well produced 5 MCFGPD and 200 BCPD. Pennzoil/Devon Energy - Houston, Texas (1997-2006) SENIOR EXPLORATION GEOPHYSICIST: Prospect mapping using Landmark software (SeisWorks, Power View, GeoProbe) plus field delineation within the Lower Tertiary team. Drilled successful deepwater Wilcox wells in Walker Ridge. Generated deep exploration prospects for the shelf group. Provided geophysical support for reservoir simulation studies and participated in a deepwater PSDM processing project with WesternGeco. Accomplishments Drilled the Cascade Prospect - Walker Ridge 206 number 2 and Walker Ridge 250 number 2 wells. Drilled the Jack Prospect - Walker Ridge 758 number 1 and 2 wells and Walker Ridge 759 number 1 well. Participated in the Jack, Walker Ridge 758 number 2 well test. Drilled seven successful wells in a field development program within Eugene Island. Annual production for the wells equals 100.1 MMCF of gas and 485,450 barrels of oil. Generated Miocene prospects in Atwater Valley that have risk reserves of 230 BCFG and mapped Lower Tertiary subsalt fields in Walker Ridge and Keathley Canyon using prestack depth migrated seismic. Produced Pliocene and Miocene prospects in Green Canyon that have risk reserves in excess of 344 BCFG. Managed a prestack simultaneous inversion to delineate the sand extent and gas saturation of deepwater channel overbank prospect. The inversion project was complete on time and it was the deciding factor in the company’s nonconsent decision on participating in drilling the well in the unsaturated fault block. The company saved 112 million in dry hole cost. ROBERT C. BARTMAN Continued GeoQuest/Schlumberger - Houston, Texas (1995-1997) SENIOR GEOPHYSICIST: Instructed corporate clients in 2D/3D seismic interpretation techniques using GeoQuest geophysical interpretation software on Sun and SGI workstations. Accomplishments Restored a corrupted international project in a timely manner while performing on-site software support. This was a high profile project and the geophysicists down time had to be minimized. Both the geophysicist and management recognized the extra effort required to quickly restore full project functionality to keep the project on schedule. Received appreciation from the geophysicist and his manager for outstanding effort and time saved. Geraghty & Miller, Inc. - Columbus, Ohio (1990-1995) PROJECT MANAGER: Managed a Resource Conservation and Recovery Act Facility Investigation at a major industrial facility. Responsibilities included managing 20 project personnel, controlling budgets, implementing work plans, writing technical reports, client communications, and supervising geophysical surveys. Accomplishments Save the client 60m in remediation costs by reducing the number of monitoring wells needed to define the zone of contamination. Stayed within the budget by reducing and rotating field personnel. Received a letter of appreciation from the client for outstanding management and cost savings.
