Executive Coach Application
Dear Leadership Coach:
We are always looking for qualified coaches worldwide to add to the
CoachSource network. We consult our database regularly to locate
coaches based on any number of criteria (background, location,
language, etc.).
There is no cost to join the database, and you are not committed to
any CoachSource project without your approval. While we will arrange
the contracting and management of CoachSource projects, you would
retain your own "identity" as an independent practitioner throughout.
Your information is not published to the general public on our website,
but only shared with specific clients who may be interested in you as a
coach.
What are we looking for?
We seek coaches meeting the following criteria:







Specialist in leadership effectiveness coaching - helping leaders
achieve positive, long-term change in leadership behavior over
time, commonly using 360 or interview-based feedback processes
to begin.
Extensive experience coaching senior leaders (Director, VP and
above), minimum 5 years.
Experience holding senior leadership positions in large
organizations. Line management / P&L experience a plus.
Fortune/FTSE 500 preferred.
Client list of Fortune/FTSE 500 organizations.
Advanced degree: MBA, MA, MS or Ph.D.
Working independently or affiliated with a firm for at least 2+
years.
Willing to provide references of senior leader coaching clients.

Endorsed by at least one current CoachSource network coach or
client.
Coaches lacking 1 (and possibly 2) of the above criteria may still be
accepted into the network (subject to CoachSource discretion).
Coaches lacking more than 2 of the above criteria will likely not be
accepted into the CoachSource network.
What do you need to do?
If you would like to be included in the database, please:
1. Answer the questions below, and create your bio in the one page
format (as demonstrated below).
2. Gather a high quality professional photo (JPEG only)
3. Email the application and your photo to
patty@coachsource.com.
4. We will inform you whether you have been accepted into the
network within a few weeks.
5. You will receive a login to further update your information
online.
Please note: the file you submit to us could likely go directly to
potential clients. Please spend quality time on it!
What happens next?
We will review your application to determine whether to accept you
into the CoachSource network. Upon acceptance, we will upload you
into our database within 1-2 weeks.
You will receive a login for our online database. Please login promptly
to ensure everything is in order. We also have additional questions for
you to answer online.
You will also receive a CoachSource general contract to provide more
detailed information of our business processes. We will be asking you
to digitally sign this contract.
Unless we have a specific, immediate need, we usually will not pursue
a telephone call with you. With over 900 coaches in the network, our
operation would be quickly overwhelmed.
Once a specific need arises, we will reach out to you. Please be
immediately responsive.
We almost always reach out via email. If you do not check email
regularly, or do not leave an “out of office” message for extended
absences, it is possible you will miss a time-sensitive coaching
request!
We periodically send notices to the entire database to help us find
coaches for very specific needs. You will receive these notes from
time to time.
When will I receive an assignment?
There are many, many factors that go into how coaches are assigned
work. We do try to spread it around as much as we can (we have over
900 coaches, and about half have been put forward for assignments we are always trying to grow that number). However, our clients have
very particular needs, often relating to location,
background/experience, and other factors.
Sometimes we reach out with assignments in just a few weeks,
sometimes years and sometimes we haven't yet been able to do so - it
is hard to predict! Please be patient with us.
Here is what we recommend for you to maximize opportunities:

Keep your online profile up to date - we are constantly searching
our database. For example, if you receive a new certification, or
move, please update your profile! These factors may impact your
candidacy for engagements.

Let's meet in person! If Dr. Underhill is in your city, he may try
to arrange to meet you; alternatively please let us know if you
are in Silicon Valley (or even flying through our airport).
Sharing work with CoachSource
There are times when you may receive offers for work that you cannot
do, or is too big for you to do alone. We encourage you to share this
work with CoachSource, as a way for us to begin working together.
We pay recurring commissions for this.
We get to work together, and the coach gets a % of all the work we do
at the client, and the client is well served. A win-win-win for all!
What can you do next?
We strongly encourage you to review the materials
and downloads on www.coachsource.com. You can
also learn more about our work from Dr. Underhill's
book, “Executive Coaching for Results.”
We also suggest reviewing

closely follows that of Marshall, thus your familiarity
with his approach is a big benefit.
