ARTICULATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN JAMESTOWN COMMUNITY COLLEGE AND BRADFORD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER FOR STUDENTS WHO WISH TO EARN CERTIFICATION FROM THE BRADFORD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER SCHOOL OF RADIOGRAPHY AND AN ASSOCIATE’S DEGREE FROM JAMESTOWN COMMUNITY COLLEGE PURPOSE OF AGREEMENT This document establishes a transfer articulation agreement between Jamestown Community College and Bradford Regional Medical Center. Its purpose is to afford students the opportunity to pre-plan their college careers, and to facilitate the transfer of credits from the Bradford Regional Medical Center School of Radiography to Jamestown Community College. ADMISSION TO SCHOOL OF RADIOGRAPHY Students should be aware that admission to the Bradford Regional Medical Center School of Radiography is highly competitive. Admission is at the discretion of the Bradford Regional Medical Center School of Radiography, and is not guaranteed by this agreement. Students can improve their likelihood of admission by completing some or all of the Jamestown Community College courses listed below prior to applying to the Bradford Regional Medical Center School of Radiography. GENERAL GUARANTEE OF TRANSFER OF CREDITS Students of will receive 30 credit hours of career electives from Jamestown Community College for coursework completed through the end of the second year first semester at the Bradford Regional Medical Center School of Radiography (see Appendix A) provided that all course grades are C or above. GENERAL GUARANTEE OF OPPORTUNITY TO GRADUATE While students who transfer from the Bradford Regional Medical Center School of Radiography are not restricted to any specific degree program at Jamestown Community College, they are encouraged to consider the Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) Individual Studies degree program, and the coursework listed below. To be eligible for any Jamestown Community College degree, students must complete at least 30 credit hours at Jamestown Community College. All 30 Bradford Regional Medical Center School of Radiography career elective transfer credit hours can be applied to the A.A.S. Individual Studies degree, leaving only 30 credits to be completed at Jamestown Community College. Most other Jamestown Community College degree programs will not count all 30 Bradford Regional Medical Center School of Radiography credit hours toward meeting degree requirements, and Bradford Regional Medical Center School of Radiography students will need more than 30 Jamestown Community College credit hours for those programs. A series of placement tests must be taken prior to the beginning of Jamestown Community College coursework. Students should be aware that some courses listed below have prerequisites and corequisites. _______________________________________________________________________ Candidates for the A.A.S. Individual Studies degree must meet the following distribution requirements: Humanities ENG 1530 English Composition II English Elective Credit Hours 3 3 Social Sciences Students must complete at least two courses in the social sciences. 6 Mathematics/Sciences Electives (also includes some computer science courses – see JCC college catalog for details) 6 Successful completion of a credit-bearing college mathematics course is a requirement for graduation.
