Semi-Elliptical Heads
ASME semi-elliptical heads are
available in diameters ranging from 59/16" to 96"; material thickness
ranges from 3/16" to 7/8". Special
tolerances, trimming or machining can
be supplied as required.
Flanged & Dished Heads
ASME flanged & dished heads are
available in diameters ranging from 41/2" to 168"; material thickness
ranges from 3/16" to 7/8". Special
tolerances, trimming or machining can
be supplied as required.
The diagrams show the basic shape of the semi-elliptical and flanged & dished heads along with the
dimensional data required for Clark Kennedy to quote or produce a head. ASME heads can be
supplied in carbon steel or stainless steel.
Non-Code Tank Heads / Tank Ends
Flanged & Dished Heads
These tank ends are available in
diameters ranging from 4-1/2" to 168";
material thickness ranges from 3/16" to
7/8" (carbon steel). Stainless steel
heads can be supplied in 10 gauge and
11 gauge thicknesses.
Dished Only Heads
These heads can be supplied in the
following materials: A36, 44W, SA516
Grade 70 and stainless steel.
Diameters range from 6" up to 168".
Material thickness ranges from 3/16" to
1-1/2" in carbon steel and 11 gauge to
1/2" in stainless steel.
Flanged Only Heads
This style of head can be supplied in
the following materials: A36, 44W,
SA516 Grade 70 and stainless steel.
Material thickness ranges from 3/16" to
1/2" in carbon steel and 11 gauge to
1/2" in stainless steel.
Other Applications
Cones / Conical Heads
Clark Kennedy can roll a
flange on customer-supplied
cones of varying
depths from 10 gauge to ½”
thick and up to a 12 foot
outside diameter in
carbon and stainless steel.
High Crown Heads
We can supply in-between style heads for your custom design needs (various combinations of dish
radii and corner radii can be accommodated). Our equipment and operators are flexible. Please
