HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
Classified as non-dangerous product.
3.1 Emergency Overview
In case of emergency such as thermal decomposition, general first aid procedures applied for toxic gasses
are suitable. Avoid processing vapors, especially hydrogen chloride, which will cause irritation of eyes
or respiratory tract.
3.2 Repeated or prolonged
Extended exposure to skin can cause slight irritation.
4.
FIRST AID MEASURES
4.1. Skin contact
Rinse with plenty of water (15 minutes), then wash area with mild soap and water. Get medical attention if
irritation should occur or persist.

4.2. Eye contact
Rinse immediately with water (15 minutes), occasionally lift upper and lower lids, until no evidence of
product remains. Get medical attention.
4.3. Inhalation
Move affected person to fresh air. Get medical attention.
4.4. Ingestion
Induce vomiting. Get medical attention.
5.
FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
5.1. Suitable extinguishing media
Form water, dry chemical agent (ABC) type, CO2, foam. At extinction, avoid the scattering of burning
material and avoid creating dust hazard: do not use stick water jets.
5.2. Unsuitable extinguishing media
Avoid spraying with stick water jet due to the danger of potential spreading.
5.3. Exposure hazards
CO and CO2 gas, HCl and chlorinated hydrocarbons (small amounts), and aromatic aliphatic hydrocarbons
may arise in a fire.
5.4. Special protecting equipment for fire-fighters
Wear full protective clothing. Wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
6.
ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
6.1. Personal precautions
Do not breathe dust when dust is raised. Avoid ignition source. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Use dust
mask, gloves made from antistatic material and protecting glasses when dust is raised. Wash hands at the
end of working.
6.2. Environmental precautions
Prevent contamination of soil, drains, foodstuffs, drinks, animal feeds and surface waters.
6.3. Methods for cleaning
Take up mechanically by brush and dustpan or by suction or vacuum equipment. Avoid dust generation
and ignition source.
7.
HANDLING AND STORAGE
7.1. Handling
In high temperature processing, handle with care. Wear personal protective equipment. Handle in
accordance with industrial hygiene and safty practice. Ensure good ventilation. Do not smoke, eat or drink
at the workplace.
7.2. Storage
Store in a dry area, avoiding high temperature, sunlight and exposure to water.

EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION
8.1. Engineering Controls;Processes which generate vapours, dust or fumes should be performed with
adequate ventilation. If necessary, use NIOSH approved chemical cartridge respirator.
8.2. Exposure controls
8.2.1. Occupational exposure control
8.2.1.1. Respiratory protection: Use dust mask, if necessary.
8.2.1.2. Hand protection: Not necessary in normal use. But use heavy cotton or insulated gloves to handle
hot sheet.
8.2.1.3. Eye protection: Wear suitable safety glasses.

10. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY
10.1.
Conditions to avoid: static discharges, dust generation. Please take care not to hold sheet in
machine for a long time at elevated temperatures in order to avoid decomposition. During long
exposures to high temperatures, the degradation temperature decreases.
Avoid to inhale dust and processing vapours, especially hydrogen chloride, which will cause
irritation of eyes or respiratory tract.
