YEARBOOK SENIOR SECTION
Hi SeniorsBelow is a lot of very important information regarding the senior section of the yearbook. Please
read everything below and do your best to follow the guidelines. Keep in mind the due dates for
your collages, signatures, messages, and accomplishments!
If you have any questions, feel free to email ybseniors2015@gmail.com or talk to Sierra Greene,
Erin Kushimaejo, or Jennifer Muraoka.
IMPORTANT DATES
October 16-17- Purchase and reserve space for Group Collages in front of SAO
October 22- Senior class photo at lunch at the Art Lanai. Please be prompt!
January 7- Turn in completed Group Collages via flash drive, CD, or as a png sent to
ybseniors2015@gmail.com in front of SAO
January 30- Signatures
Submit signature card to yearbook table at lunch in front of SAO
February 6- Messages
Email ybseniors2015@gmail.com by 3pm
Make subject line: Full Name and "Message"
February 13- Accomplishments
Email ybseniors2015@gmail.com by 3pm

COLLAGES: Submit to yearbook table at lunch in front of SAO
Design a photo collage for you and your friends (pages already purchased)
- Follow the guidelines specified in Senior Collage Info Letter (attached)
SIGNATURES: Submit to yearbook table at lunch in front of SAO
Write/design your name on the index card provided to you at the upcoming class meeting
- Everything must be outlined in BLACK SHARPIE
- Erase ALL pencil marks upon submission
- Avoid pressing hard onto the paper
- Do not alter the card in any way (cutting, tearing, folding)
- Do not include company logos or inappropriate designs
* See last year's yearbook for examples of signatures
* If you lose your index card, you may purchase another one for $0.25 from Sierra Greene
MESSAGES: Email ybseniors2015@gmail.com by 3pm
Compose a message addressed to family, friends, teachers, etc. You may include a quote but be
sure to attribute the quote to the author.
- Maximum character count: 540 (all letters, punctuation, and spaces included)
* See last year's yearbook for examples of messages
ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Email ybseniors2015@gmail.com by 3pm
Compose a list of accomplishments from grades 9-12
- Maximum character count: 200 (all letters, punctuations, and spaces included)
- Order: Number of Years Attended `Iolani: Son/Daughter of `Iolani (if applicable),
Headmaster's List/Honor Role, Academic Achievements, Sports, Clubs/Organizations, Electives,
Other Accomplishments
- Example: 13 years: Daughter of `Iolani, Headmaster's List, Japanese Honor Society, DIV I
Water Polo: State Champions, VARS Football: Co-Captain, INT/JV Track & Field, Key Club:
Vice President, No Free Lunch Club, Orchestra 4, Dance 3
Sports Specifics:
- Levels should be listed as VARS, JV, and INT or DIV I or DIV II
- Positions/awards/accomplishments may be included after the sport's name following a colon
(Example- VARS Volleyball: Captain)
Clubs/Organizations Specifics:
- Positions/honors may be included after the club/organization's name following a colon
(Example- Baking Club: Secretary)
- Positions/Titles should be written in full (Example- Vice President, Co-Chair, Editor-in-Chief)
